For nine centuries, the estate has rarely changed ownership, reflecting a tradition of preserving its land heritage. Over the years, the vineyard has been gradually replanted, and the winery has been fully renovated and adapted to modern vinification techniques. Château Picon is located in the commune of Eynesse, near the bastide of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. The majestic 81-hectare estate is nestled on a plateau overlooking the Dordogne Valley. It benefits from an exceptional terroir, characterized by a gravelly surface soil and clay-limestone subsoil. The vines, averaging 35 years of age, are predominantly south-facing. They are arranged in a contiguous layout around the château and the winery.

Commentaire Le territoire de l'AOC Lussac-Saint-Émilion s'étend au nord de la butte de Saint-Émilion. Il bénéficie d'un microclimat favorable à la vigne, avec une pluviométrie modérée et des températures chaudes en été. À Lussac, les terrains viticoles s'étagent de vallons jusqu'à des plateaux, formant un amphithéâtre exposé plein sud. Cette disposition favorise un drainage naturel. Les sols sont principalement argilo-calcaires. Dégustation Ce vin d'un rouge brillant exprime des arômes gourmands et intenses, avec des notes de fruits rouges (fraise, framboise, cerise), soutenus par des accents de réglisse, de cuir, de pruneau ou encore d'épices. Chateau de Rolland, situated just outside the village of Sauternes, thrives of an exceptional terroir just next to the Cirons River (perfect microclimate for Botrytis). The origins of the estate date back to 1492 when the “de Rolland family” acquired the domain. Faithful to its past, Mr Jean Guignard transmitted his knowledge to his three children: François, Lucie and Monique who now manage the chateau. The Guignard family, with whom Barrière has been working for some 30 years now, regulmarly produce an exceptional and highly reliable “golden” wine !

This family estate belongs to the Souille de Pedro family since 1852 and is located in the upper part of the field of Mazeyres (West of Chateau Le Pin). Hermitages de Mazeyres was the first wine served during the first transatlantic crossing on the ship “FRANCE” to New York in 1962.
